One day I was watching TV, and a religious program came on. The Host had a guy on his program to talk about how God reveals miraculous things to him. The young man talked about himself, and his visions from God.

The resurrection power is awesome. It heals the sick, raise the dead, and set the captives free. And that’s what Jesus did all through his ministry. His crucifixion is fresh in our minds. He was crucified, nailed to a cross, because He had the audacity to heal the sick

Jesus Christ is risen! Yes, He has risen for the last 2000 years! Sunday will be the second Sunday of Easter! The Gospel of John 20:19-31 points us to the first church and showed them hiding behind locked doors on the day of the resurrection of Jesus.

Reiterating: I believe a person, who is searching for God, and for some the higher power, is like unto one who is lost in a vast forest or wilderness. He walks until his shoes are worn, his feet have blisters, he is hungry for food, and thirsty for water with no end in sight.

I was Christened or baptized as an infant; and also when I was 9 years old and able to enjoy and experience my baptism in Christ. I did not quite know what to expect or what would happen immediately after my baptism.

The Holy Spirit existed from the beginning. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were from the beginning.

The Holy Spirit is and was from the beginning and was present when God created the heavens and the earth. In the very beginning the earth was formless, empty and covered with darkness. The Holy Spirit hovers over the waters of the earth.

The essence of the ‘Gospel’ is ‘salvation’ and the essence of ‘salvation’ is the work of the Holy Spirit. “God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, as you sent upon the disciples, the promised gift of the Holy Spirit, look upon your Church and open our hearts to the power of the Spirit.

I started reading a book entitled “This Odd and Wondrous Calling.” I ‘d liked the title so much that I seem to take more time to put my own life story on the pages of that book, and less time reading it.

The essence of the Gospel is ‘salvation’. Salvation is to seek and to save what was lost. It is to seek and rescue what was lost from the power of sin. Notice, the phrase ‘what was lost’. I invite you to look at a bigger picture. We are often tempted to narrow down the ‘seek and save’ to humanity only.

Many people, especially our younger generation are searching for God. They want to know, who is this God that is talked about, called upon, and proclaimed. Yet, many have not come to know or find this God. It seems like a dilemma, both in the world and sadly, in the church.

THE TALLIT or prayer shawl: In the Old Testament, God gave the twelve tribes of Israel (the House of Jacob or Israel) specific instructions as to how they should design and wear their priestly attire as they escaped the bondage of Egypt.

OUR BIBLE STUDY FOCUS: To find the trouble in the text, and the trouble in the world; the grace in the text and the grace in the world. We also focus on exposing and peeling away the myths about the texts and bring to the forefront the perceived truth in the texts.

Advent is a season observed in many Christian churches today. The word ‘Advent’ came from the Latin word ‘adventus’ meaning ‘coming.’ The word ‘Adventus’ is also the translation of the Greek word ‘parousia,’ used in reference to the ‘Second Coming of Christ.’

God established a covenant with Noah and his family and told them to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. God was still in charge of the human household. The only difference was that Noah was the earthly father of the household.
